本次我们特别采访了来自天津美达菲学校12年级的Young同学和Rebecca同学，分别就早申的经验和建议聊一聊自己的学习心得，以求为更多有类似升学需求的同学带去启发。

We have interviewed Young and Rebecca from Grade 12 of MacDuffie School in Tianjin to talk about their experience and advice on early application, in order to inspire more students who have similar needs for further study.

From MacDuffie to EHL

这是天津美达菲官号第二篇报道融奕扬的文章，在ASDAN全明星赛崭露头角后，他又以优异的成绩成功斩获EHL的早申offer，充分展现了他在商业管理方面的过人天分。

This is the second article reported by Tianjin MacDuffie official account about Rong Yiyang. After his appearance in the ASDAN All-Star Game, he successfully won the early offer from EHL with excellent results, fully demonstrating his extraordinary talent in business management.

他利用假期参加夏校来不断的拓宽自己的眼界

上学期我参加了阿斯丹酒店管理的培训项目，在项目中我有幸与洛桑的学长有了初步的接触，在交流中我对酒店管理的行业有了一定的认识，进而产生了浓厚的兴趣。

Last semester, I participated in the Training program of ASDAN Hotel Management. During the program, I was fortunate to have a preliminary contact with the senior students in Lausanne. During the exchange, I had a certain understanding of the hotel management industry, and then developed a strong interest in it.

在这个学期，学校又组织了美达菲海外大学巡展，巡展中我和EHL的招生官有了面对面交流的机会，我对EHL和酒店管理专业有了进一步的了解，这就更加坚定了我投EHL的决心。

In this semester, the school also organized MacDuffie overseas university tour, during which I had a face-to-face communication with the admissions officer of EHL, and I had a further understanding of EHL and hotel management, which strengthened my determination to apply for EHL.

顺利的完成早申让我意识到早规划、多探索、定目标的重要性。

The successful completion of the early application made me realize the importance of early planning, more exploration and setting goals.

对美达菲未来的学弟学妹，我想说：一定要提前做好自己的学业规划，要提前摸索，不要等到申请的时候再定方向就比较晚了。在十一年级上学期前拿下语言类考试，我的雅思成绩就是7分，这样会省去很多的麻烦，后面主攻AP、SAT等等，把学习的压力摊开，合理分布在高中的阶段。

To the future students of MacDuffie, I would like to say: be sure to make their own academic planning in advance, to explore in advance, do not wait until the application time to determine the direction is relatively late. When I took the language test in the first semester of grade 11, My IELTS was 7, which would save a lot of trouble. In the future, I would focus on AP, SAT and so on, spreading out the learning pressure and reasonably distributing it in high school.

和Young的沉稳不同，辜泊嘉可是校园社团活动中的“多面手”，从主持、主唱到键盘手、小提琴、吉他，只要是和文艺相关的活动都能见到她的身影。

我从3岁学小提琴，5岁学古典钢琴，后来又陆续学过吉他等乐器，选择学习音乐这条道路主要是从八年级开始的，一个偶然的机会让我发现音乐可以治愈一个人，不仅可以治愈我自己也可以治愈其他人，所以就想通过音乐去帮助更多的人，也希望越来越多的人能从音乐中获得力量。

I learn the violin from the age of 3, studying classical piano when I am 5 years old, and gradually learned guitar musical instrument, such as the leading music this way study starts from the eighth grade a chance to let I found that music can cure a person, not only can cure me, oneself also can heal others so I want to help more people through music, I also hope that more and more people can know more about the music field and the music industry.

不管你们像我一样是选择当留学生，还是选择在国内学习，在做出选择之前一定要遵从自己的内心，要选择一个是自己真心喜欢并且愿意一直长远努力的专业，作为一个艺术生，我很真心的告诉大家，不管学习什么专业，学艺术也好或者学其他的学科，它是没有捷径的，每一条道路都是需要自己不断突破、不断的努力，总之一定要选择自己热爱的事情并为之坚持下去，加油！

Whether you choose to study abroad or in China, follow your own heart before making a choice, you need to choose one which you really like and you are willing to make efforts on it in long-term, and as an art student, honestly, no matter what major you learn, art or others, there is no short cut to it. Every road requires constant persistence to work hard to get what you want. In short, you must choose what you love and stick to it. Come on!
