美达菲学校辉煌130年  130 Years of Proud The MacDuffie School

美达菲夏令营提供给新生们机会尝试新事物:结交新朋友、友善待人、尊重他人、遵守规则、与小伙伴们一起合作……为成为合格的MacDuffie社区新成员做好充分地准备。

The Summer Camp of MacDuffie certainly provided many great opportunities for new students to try new things: make lots of new friends, be kind to others, respect others, follow the rules, work with classmates and fully prepared them to become valuable members of the MacDuffie community.

“美达菲之夜”烛光晚会是美达菲学校一项非常知名、传统的活动，它起源于1890年美达菲格兰比总校。在美达菲学校130周年校庆之际，天津美达菲校区举行了盛大的烛光之夜，为新的学年拉开了帷幕，同时美达菲大家庭也迎来了新生的加入和返校生的回归。

Candlelight is a famous, traditional event originating from the founding days of The MacDuffie School Granby, back in 1890. Our 130th Anniversary Candlelight at MacDuffie Tianjin gave us a spectacular start to our new school year, as we welcomed both new and returning students into the MacDuffie family.

继美达菲学校传统活动“烛光之夜”和“登山日”后， 我们的小学部也组织孩子们举办了可爱又专业的演讲比赛活动。演讲的主题是“我心中的美达菲”， 每一个小小演讲家们都给观众们呈现了优秀的演讲技巧，热情和自信的风采，同时，也展现了他们对学校历史和传统的丰富知识。

As well as our famous Tradition Events of “Candlelight” and “Mountain Day”, we’ve also enjoyed our super professional young pubic speakers in the Primary School Speech Competition. The topic was “MacDuffie in My Heart” and the speakers gave us a great example of technique, passion and confidence, whilst showing admirable knowledge of our long history and traditions.

中学部的学生们围绕着我们的CIRCLE价值观，也呈现了一场卓著的演讲盛宴，选手们用他们有力的且令人信服的演讲感染着在场的每一位观众。我们也真切的看到了一些初具未来领导力的学生们。

Middle School gave us a professional set of speeches on the importance of our CIRCLE Values and they all inspired us with their persuasive and compelling speeches. We have some future leaders here for sure.  

美达菲伟大的创始人，John&Abby夫妇一定会由衷的为他们感到欣慰自豪!

130周年校庆“我的美达菲生活”摄影展

本次摄影展全校学生参与，以此来共同庆祝美达菲130岁的生日。学生们用一张张摄影作品诠释了我们的CIRCLE价值观——那些展示创造力和集体价值观的作品，像一道道美丽的光芒，照射进学生们深爱的美达菲校园。

130^th Anniversary “MacDuffie Life” Photo Competition

Students from across the school entered our competition celebrating 130 years of creativity at MacDuffie. These student photographers have exemplified our CIRCLE Values – those of Creativity and Community - by shining a light on an aspect of life at MacDuffie that has appealed to them.

Our top prize winners also gave us their insights into why they had chosen to photograph their image. They shared how the compositional techniques they had used and explained how it spoke to them about their own experience of our CIRCLE Values. It was an impressive display of critical thinking and by creatively sharing their artistic process they showed how mature and independent our students are becoming.

摄影作品一等奖获得者们也向我们讲解了他们拍摄作品的原因，所使用的构图技巧，并阐述了他们践行CIRCLE价值观的亲身体验。这是一次令人印象深刻的批判性思维的展示，通过创造性的分享他们拍摄艺术作品的过程，充分体现了我们美达菲学子们的自信、独立、阳光和追求卓越。

Our top prize winners also gave us their insights into why they had chosen to photograph their image. 美达菲「国学艺术馆」“国学与艺术”主题活动通过举办“书法与国学”、“绘画与艺术”、“书法与艺术”三场活动，弘扬中国经典国学与艺术之美，同时促进了学生“怀中国心•做世界人”学校精神的认同。

MacDuffie 「Sinology and Art Gallery」 held three "Sinology and Art" themed activities which were "Calligraphy and Sinology", "Painting and Art" and "Calligraphy and Art" , they all promoted the beauty of classical Chinese sinology and art, as well as enhancing students’ recognition of the school spirit "International vision with a Chinese heart ".
