9月14日（周六）晚，备受瞩目的美达菲慈善音乐晚会圆满结束。本次慈善音乐晚会以“援甘助学”为主题，学校继去年成功举办“助残义卖”慈善活动之后，在全体师生及家长的共同努力下，再次成功募集到60余万元人民币的善款。该笔款项将主要用于南开区对口帮扶的甘肃省脱贫地区的教育公益项目，为推动西部地区教育事业的繁荣发展贡献力量。
On the evening of Saturday, September 14th, the highly anticipated MacDuffie Charity Music Concert came to a successful conclusion. After last year’s successful charity sale for people with disabilities, this charity music festival was held under the theme of “Helping Students in Gansu”, and was able to successfully raise another 600,000 yuan through the joint efforts of teachers, students, and parents. The funds will be used to support educational public welfare programs in poverty-stricken areas of Gansu Province, which Nankai District, provides counterpart assistance, in order to contribute to the prosperous development of education in China’s western region.本次活动得到了南开区委区政府的高度重视，区委统战部、区发改委、区教育局等相关部门给予了大力支持，天津歌舞剧院、天津北方演艺集团为美达菲三校师生呈现了一场高水平的交响音乐晚会。与会领导高度赞赏学校在公益事业上做出的贡献，并对学校近几年的可喜变化给予了高度评价。
The Tianjin Symphony Orchestra and the Tianjin Northern Performing Arts Group presented an evening of high-level symphonic music to the teachers and students of The MacDuffie School from Kindergarten to Grade 12, and the event has been evalauted highly by the Nankai District Government, with strong support from the United Front Work Department of the Nankai District Party Committee, the District Development and Reform Commission, the Nankai District Education Bureau, and other relevant departments. Participating leaders greatly appreciated the school’s contribution to public welfare and spoke admiringly of the school’s promising changes in recent years.晚会精心策划了四个精彩环节：管弦乐组曲、阿卡贝拉连唱、乐队组曲以及篝火点燃仪式。晚会在天津歌舞剧院管弦乐团的美妙旋律中拉开序幕，音乐家们倾情演绎了包括《红旗颂》《天鹅湖组曲》《冰雪奇缘》和《领航》等经典名曲。The evening was elaborately planned with four wonderful highlights: an orchestral suite, an a cappella performance, a band concert, and a bonfire lighting ceremony. The evening began with the beautiful melodies of the Tianjin Song and Dance Theater Orchestra, and the musicians performed such classic tunes as “Ode to the Red Flag”, “Swan Lake”, music from “Frozen” and “Ling Hang”.随着提琴声缓缓落下，Tuesday人声乐团以纯人声合唱亮相，为晚会注入了别样的艺术气息，他们的声音纯净而和谐，无需任何乐器伴奏，便完美呈现了人声的魅力，一首经典的《Can You Feel the Love Tonight》更是将晚会爱心慈善的主题推向了高潮。AS the sound of the violins slowly faded, the Tuesday Vocal Orchestra made its appearance with an unaccompanied vocal chorus, injecting a unique artistic flavor into the evening’s event. Their singing was pure and harmonious, perfectly presenting the charm of the human voice without the need for any instrumental accompaniment, and the classic song “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” served as the climax for the evening's theme of love and charity.留声机乐队与陈金禹、唐梓桐同学共同登台，为观众带来精彩的音乐合奏。The Gramophone Band, together with students Chen Jinyu and Tang Zitong, then took to the stage and delivered a wonderful musical ensemble for the audience.随着美达菲学校百年篝火的再次点燃，晚会气氛达到顶点。学生代表身着西部民族服饰，与身着学院制服的师生们共同点燃了象征“怀中国心·做世界人”的希望之火。The atmosphere of the evening reached its peak with the re-lighting of the MacDuffie School Centennial Bonfire. Student representatives dressed in Western Chinese ethnic clothing and faculty and students in house T-shirts lit the flame of hope symbolizing MacDuffie’s “International Vision With a Chinese Heart”.通过历次慈善活动，美达菲的学子们不仅增强了关爱弱势群体的社会责任感，而且对成为“有责任心、尊重多元文化的世界公民”有了更深刻的理解。同时，美达菲学校将会为更多乡村孩子带来优质的心智素养课程，帮助他们勇敢前行，成为积极阳光、自信独立、内心丰盈的人，愿每个孩子都智慧有爱。
Through these charity activities, MacDuffie students have not only strengthened their sense of social responsibility to care for those who are underprivileged, but also gained a deeper understanding of what it means to be a responsible global citizen with a respect for multiculturalism. The MacDuffie School will continue providing quality mental literacy programs to more children in the countryside, helping them to move forward bravely and become positive, bright, confident, independent, and full of heart, and with the wish that all young people will grow to become be wise and loving individuals.鸣谢以下爱心企业
